Heroes, Villains and Special Effects
I added this event to the calendar last night and thought a lot of you probably have superhero/monster/video game fans in your house.
On Sept. 13, the Museum of Life and Science will hold Heroes, Villains and Special Effects: The Science of Entertainment. There will be opportunities to meet Star Wars characters (or at least people dressed like them), talk to video game design experts and learn about makeup effects from a Hollywood makeup artist. John Copeman, a film and TV stunt man and coordinator who is working on CW's One Tree Hill, also will be there.
The activities (except for face painting) are free with museum admission.

Thank you for this. I have out of town guest that weekend & they would love this. Not sure how I missed it since I get the museum's emails.
