Observations From a Well Known Theme Park

Last week, I was lucky enough to be able to take my oldest daughter to Disney World for her fifth birthday. And I made some interesting observations along the way:

It’s okay to have your kids watch DVDs for nine hours straight. Any thoughts on thinking that activities could happen in between DVD watching should be squashed immediately. It will save your sanity.

Gummy Bears melt in minivans in the Florida heat. And they make a huge mess. So much of a mess, car doors will not be able to be opened.

If it is hot enough, I would gladly pay $20 for a spray bottle with a fan attached which I probably could have purchased at the local Target for much less.

Double strollers are weapons of mass destruction. They can take out whole tour groups with a single push.

Ice cream should never be on the breakfast buffet line when there are children present. Nor should Gummy Bears.

When paying a small fortune to have your daughter get dressed up like Hannah Montana and that fee includes a photo session, make sure your daughter will want to do the photo session. Also make sure she will want to leave the costume on for more than five minutes.

White spandex shorts on not attractive on anyone, ever. Especially a male.
